Today is my birthday, and I feel so alone and cold as I continue to wait for your warm wishes. 💔☹️

Today is my birthday, and as I lie here on my soft bed, I can’t help but feel a deep sense of loneliness and coldness. My name is Min, and I’m a small golden retriever who loves to run and play. Usually, my birthdays are filled with excitement, treats, and the laughter of my family. But this year is different. I’ve been feeling unwell, and the vibrant energy I usually have seems to have vanished.

As I glance around the room, I notice the birthday decorations that my family put up in anticipation of my special day. The colorful balloons are still floating happily, and the banner that reads “Happy Birthday, Min!” hangs proudly on the wall. But instead of joy, I feel a heavy weight in my heart. My family has been busy taking care of me, ensuring I have enough rest and medication, but it means they haven’t had time to celebrate.

I remember last year when my owner, Emma, threw me a grand birthday party. Friends from the neighborhood came over, and I had a cake made of dog-friendly ingredients. We played games, chased after each other in the yard, and I felt so loved. This year, though, I can only watch from my cozy corner, too tired to join in any festivities.

As I lay here, I hear the soft sounds of my family moving about. Emma comes in with a worried look on her face, kneeling beside me. She gently pats my head, whispering sweet words of encouragement, but I can see the concern in her eyes. I want to reassure her that I’m okay, but I feel so weak. All I can do is give her a weak wag of my tail.

The day drags on, and I find myself longing for the warmth of their wishes and the joy that usually fills the air on my birthday. I watch as they prepare dinner, hoping they’ll save a little piece of cake for me, just like they did last year. The hours seem to pass slowly, and the excitement of birthday celebrations fades into a quiet hope that tomorrow will be better.

As night falls, Emma brings a small cupcake made just for me. It’s not the big cake from last year, but it’s something special. She lights a candle on it and sings a soft birthday song. In that moment, I feel a flicker of warmth in my heart, knowing that even though I’m not feeling my best, I am still surrounded by love.

Today may not have been the celebration I had hoped for, but I know that I am loved, and that makes all the difference. I close my eyes, take a small bite of the cupcake, and feel grateful for my family, hoping for a brighter tomorrow.
