My birthday is dull; there’s no cake, no candles, and no flowers

Today was supposed to be a special day for Kin, a cheerful little dog with a heart full of love. As the sun rose, he felt a flutter of excitement, thinking it was his birthday. Kin had always dreamed of celebrating this day with a cake, candles, and perhaps even a few flowers. But as the hours passed, the reality of his situation began to set in.

The house was quiet, and no one seemed to remember that today was Kin’s birthday. His owner had been busy with work and other responsibilities, leaving little time to notice the calendar. Kin watched as the day unfolded, hoping someone would come home with a special surprise for him, but that moment never came.

With no cake to enjoy and no candles to blow out, Kin felt a heavy sadness. He wandered through the house, looking for familiar faces and joyful voices, but all he found was silence. There were no decorations, no gifts, and definitely no one to share a happy moment with. Even the yard, usually filled with laughter and play, felt empty today.

Despite his disappointment, Kin decided to make the most of the day. He spent some time playing with his favorite toy, a little squeaky bone that had seen better days. While it didn’t compare to the birthday celebrations he had imagined, it brought him a bit of joy. He chased it around the yard, hoping that maybe, just maybe, his owner would notice him and join in the fun.

As the sun began to set, painting the sky with beautiful hues of orange and pink, Kin curled up in his cozy bed. He looked out the window, dreaming of the birthday party he wished he could have had. In his heart, he still held onto the hope that one day, someone would celebrate him as he deserved.

Even though today was a lonely birthday, Kin knew that his love and loyalty were true. He believed that every day was a chance for new beginnings, and maybe tomorrow would bring a little more joy into his life. After all, every dog deserves to be celebrated, and Kin was ready to love and be loved, no matter what.
