A once-homeless dog is now delighting in visits to the trendiest eateries across Los Angeles. In 2014, Ivy Diep discovered the stray dog on the streets and named him Popeye. She decided to adopt him due to his thin and matted condition. Popeye quickly formed a bond with her husband and their other dogs.
On one of their Instagram outings, she brought Popeye along. They frequently review restaurants, snap photos, and explore new dining spots for their Instagram account. It was during this time that she discovered Popeye is an excellent dining companion—he remains well-behaved around food and even sits calmly, smiling for the camera.
Rest assured, Popeye doesn’t consume any of the tempting treats shown in the photos, as his owners only provide him with dog-safe food. Ivy created the Instagram account “Popeye the Foodie Dog” to capture and share Popeye’s culinary adventures throughout LA.
