To provide food for her ten puppies, a mother dog had to cover a distance of three kilometers daily. Fortunately, she has been rescued and her puppies are soon to be adopted.

In Fowler, Fresno, California, locals witnessed the mother dog traveling two kilometers every day in search of nourishment for her pups. This discovery was made by Krystle Woodward, founder of Pinky Paws ResQ, who learned of the dog’s plight as she foraged around the neighborhood for her young ones.

Krystle first learned about the dog two months ago, but it wasn’t until last Thursday that she managed to save Betty Boop and her ten puppies from peril.

Krystle shared on the foundation’s Facebook page, “I discovered Betty Boop during my work break, but she ran away when she saw me. My husband rushed out with the van during lunch on Thursday to rescue her.”

A dog that had recently given birth had been making daily three-kilometer trips to find food for her puppies.

Over the past three to four weeks, over 30 people had witnessed her traveling miles outside of town in search of food for her puppies.

Afterwards, I stayed at the vet’s office all night to ensure she wasn’t carrying any diseases. I was in tears throughout the night when the doctor informed me she was still nursing. My mind was filled with worry about the starving puppies.

On Friday, Betty Boop bolted outside and climbed over the barrier, desperately trying to return to her puppies. Krystle was on a mission to find Betty Boop’s young ones.

The ten healthy puppies are named Amber, Citrine, Copper, Jade, Jasper, Onyx, Opal, Pearl, Rubyloo, and Sage.

She placed her complete trust in me to find her puppies, which deeply moved me and made me cherish them even more.

According to YourCentralValley, the puppies were found in the basement of an abandoned house. Kenneth Stoen, a local elementary school student, was enlisted by a friend of Krystle’s son to assist in rescuing the dog from the basement.
