In a small, cozy cottage on the edge of a quiet village lived a golden puppy named Min. With his soft, fluffy fur and bright, sparkling eyes, Min was the joy of the household. He spent his days playing in the garden, chasing butterflies, and napping under the warm sun. But the happiest moments of Min’s life were the times he spent with his mother. She was a gentle and loving dog who taught Min everything he knew, from how to chase his tail to how to dig the perfect hole in the garden.
Min’s life was perfect. His owner, an elderly lady named Linda, cared for him and his mother with all her heart. Linda would often sit on the porch, watching Min play and laugh at his silly antics. She would give him treats and cuddle him to sleep every night. Min loved Linda dearly, just as he loved his mother. To him, the world was full of love and warmth, and he couldn’t imagine it any other way.
But life has a way of changing when you least expect it. One day, Linda received some bad news. Her finances were running low, and she could no longer afford to take care of both Min and his mother. The thought of parting with Min broke Linda’s heart, but she knew she had to make a difficult decision. She couldn’t bear the thought of both dogs suffering from a lack of resources, so she decided to find a new home for Min, hoping he would be taken in by someone who could care for him as much as she did.
When Linda first explained the situation to Min, he didn’t understand. He just knew that Linda was sad, and that made him sad too. The day came when Linda placed a small, warm blanket in a basket and gently put Min inside. She whispered soothing words to him, her voice trembling with sorrow. Min looked up at her with wide, confused eyes, not understanding why he was being taken away from his mother and the only home he had ever known.
As Linda drove to meet the person who would take Min, the little puppy began to feel a deep sadness settle in his heart. He missed his mother’s comforting presence and the familiar scents of home. He let out a small whimper, then another, until tears began to well up in his eyes. By the time they arrived, Min was quietly crying, his tiny body shaking with the sobs he couldn’t hold back.
Linda handed Min over to his new owner, a kind woman who promised to take good care of him. But no matter how gentle and warm the new woman was, Min’s heart ached with the loss of his mother and the home he loved so dearly. He looked back at Linda one last time, his eyes full of longing and sorrow, as if pleading with her to take him back.
Linda, with tears in her eyes, gave Min one final kiss on the head. “I’m so sorry, Min,” she whispered, her voice choked with emotion. “I’ll always love you.” And with that, she turned and walked away, leaving Min behind.
Min’s new home was different. It was nice, and his new owner tried her best to comfort him, but the little golden puppy couldn’t stop feeling the emptiness inside. He missed his mother’s warmth, the familiar sounds of the cottage, and the loving presence of Linda. Every night, as he curled up in his new bed, Min would quietly cry himself to sleep, dreaming of the days when his world was full of happiness and love.
Over time, Min would learn to adapt to his new surroundings, but he would never forget the life he once had, the mother he loved, and the woman who, despite her love for him, had to let him go. And though his new life would bring new joys, the memory of those tearful days would stay with him forever, a reminder of the bond that no distance or time could ever truly break.
