At the OKC Animal Welfare, a two-year-old Australian Cattle Dog was reportedly thrown from a moving vehicle by his owner. Upon arrival at the Oklahoma City Animal Shelter, the dog exhibited facial and eye injuries, a slow gait, and wobbly legs.
However, just hours later, the medical updates were much more encouraging. The dog, now showing signs of improvement, was described as quiet, alert, and responsive. His condition included ruptured blood vessels in his right eye, but his pupils were equal and reactive to light. His ears showed signs of “fly strike” (bites), but his femoral pulse was strong and even, and he used all his limbs normally without displaying pain. His heartbeat was normal and strong.
The dog rested comfortably in his kennel and was very happy and sweet during the intake process.
