Recently, Matt Bentley encountered a troubling situation. After receiving a call about a trapped dog, he went to find and free her. When he spotted her on a lonely path in Salt Flats, she was nearly bald from rubbing against rocks to shield herself from dust storms and weak from hunger. He recognized the severity of her condition.
When Matt brought her to the Utah Animal Adoption Center, he pleaded for their help, and they quickly agreed. The dog was in desperate need of medical care. Upon hearing about the “doggy warrior,” Jamie chose to donate funds to support her through the challenging recovery. Jamie also gave the sweet dog a name: Kelly.
Kelly was exceptionally friendly. When she first saw Jamie, she eagerly ran up to him, wagging her tail and seeking affection. Jamie instantly felt a bond with her. Despite her evident pain and past trauma, Kelly remained upbeat and brought joy to those around her.
Though Kelly’s recovery was slow, her strong spirit was evident. Jamie, who kept a close eye on her, was determined to take her in as soon as she was ready.
Kelly’s first day in her new home was exceptional; she settled in as if she had always lived there. Jamie’s dog Rocky greeted her warmly, and by the end of the day, they had become fast friends. Kelly’s recovery also progressed significantly! After fifteen months, her fur had fully regrown, and she was in excellent health. Jamie was so appreciative of Matt’s efforts that she wanted to reunite with him, and of course, Matt was happy to agree!
Matt was astonished by Kelly’s transformation after such a challenging recovery. The changes in her were remarkable! Jamie expresses immense gratitude to Matt for saving Kelly’s life. Seeing how Kelly wouldn’t be here without his help brings Matt to tears.
