This man showed courage by saving the vulnerable dog and giving it a new chance at life.

On Valentine’s Day, biker Brandon Turnbow proved his heartfelt compassion by stopping everything to rescue a mistreated puppy.

Turnbow was cruising down Highway 171 on his motorcycle, en route to Texas for a day of riding with his father.

He witnessed a cruel man attacking a small Jack Russell on the road. Shocked, Turnbow immediately decided to confront the man. However, the man abandoned the puppy on the curb and fled before Turnbow could react.

Turnbow knew he couldn’t leave the injured and frightened dog alone, so he cautiously approached it. Although he feared the dog might dart into oncoming traffic, he remained still.

“I took a risk and covered him with my body to see if he would react aggressively or trust me,” Turnbow shared on Facebook. When he began to nuzzle against me, I stood up and lifted him off the bike seat, wondering what would happen next.

Though Turnbow recognized the urgency of the situation, he wanted to avoid frightening the dog further. Before resuming his ride, he started the motorcycle to help the puppy adjust to the vibrations. Once the little Jack Russell seemed comfortable, Turnbow placed him in his backpack.

He fell in love when the dog’s large eyes met his.

The driver went on, “I saw the guy toss the dog into the air and drive away in my rearview mirror.” Brandon posted on Facebook, “I chased him down just to give him a one-finger salute.” Meanwhile, Mr. Davidson became my new co-pilot.

That same day, Turnbow adopted the puppy and named him Mr. Davidson in honor of his Harley-Davidson motorcycle. The best part is that Mr. Davidson loved riding on Turnbow’s motorcycle!

I glanced back as far as I could and was delighted to see the dog appearing to enjoy the ride. Mr. Davidson was thrilled to learn that the trip back to my house was only 45 kilometers! He might have found me a bit bothersome at times due to occasional interruptions in his airflow.

The 10-year-old dog quickly settled in and grew fond of his new owner.

Mr. Davidson adored Turnbow just as much as Turnbow loved him. He even wrote a touching song about the dog.

Two years after his rescue, Mr. Davidson is still deeply devoted to Turnbow.

After a long day at work, the two relax together by the fire.

Turnbow was fortunate to be in the perfect place at the perfect time to rescue this orphaned puppy. We’re thrilled to see how well they’ve bonded!
