Wells Fire Department Captain Jeff Nawfel was responsible for soothing this husky and gaining his trust to safely bring him back inside the house in Maine, USA.

Throughout history, dogs have been steadfast companions to humans, and their skills in assisting people during times of need are widely recognized. These skills have been invaluable in easing many household and yard chores.

Nevertheless, there are moments when these animal companions require human assistance to overcome difficulties. This charming husky was seen in Wells, Maine, and it seems that such a situation was at play.

A video shared on the Wells Police Department’s Facebook page shows that this dog had been chained to the roof of his house and was unable to move or react to his owners’ calls for help.

While it might appear to be a minor issue, it necessitated intervention from the local Fire Department to rescue the dog safely and without harm.

To earn the dog’s trust, the official is said to have climbed to the roof of the house and calmed him. After establishing a connection, the firefighter picked up the dog and carried him back through the window into the house. Before entering, the grateful dog paused to give the firefighter a kiss on the cheek, seemingly to express thanks for the rescue.

He wrote, “Thank you to everyone who reached out and assisted with his rescue. This rescue took place in 2018.”
