Hello and welcome to Baikal! Baikal’s picture brought tears to my eyes. I knew I had to help.
With a hungry gaze, Baikal leaned against the wall, anticipating grocery store leftovers.
Despite their plentiful resources, the people callously ignored the starving dog, showcasing the worst of humanity’s capacity for neglect.
Baikal’s mood mirrored mine – both of us dampened by illness, mine a disability, his a nasty case of demodicosis.
Following some kind words, Baikal, the lucky pup, was driven to the vet by a volunteer from Angel Sobaki Help, a Russian animal rescue. The volunteer’s conversation with the sweet dog continued throughout the journey.
The poor thing has red, puffy eyes with discharge. There’s a strong smell coming from its ears, and its claws are incredibly long. They must be uncomfortable!
The veterinarians sought to help him erase his traumatic experiences because of his gentle nature.
After Baikal underwent an ultrasound the next day, his intestines became inflamed, likely due to several days of not eating. Thankfully, he’s already on the road to recovery thanks to the nutrients he’s receiving now.
At 31 kilograms, Baikal is a friendly and trusting dog with a sheepdog-like appearance. After just 9 days, this playful pup is already energetic enough to run around!
Two months flew by, and Baikal blossomed into a handsome fellow with an adorable button nose! His transformation is incredible. This energetic pup is living his best life, full of joy.
He’s searching for a home! Would you consider giving him the chance to be a devoted son?
