Forget outward appearances, true beauty lies within. Beneath the surface, we’re more alike than different. It’s the wellspring of emotions inside us that truly defines who we are.
Sadly, some people in Lucky’s life only saw her carefully curated public image, blind to the wonderful person beneath. This misunderstanding caused her a great deal of distress.
Lucky was born with a notable facial abnormality. After being rescued from a puppy mill, he was donated to a rescue organization. Finding him a suitable home proved to be difficult. However, those who took the time to meet him were astonished by what they discovered.
Lucky was finally adopted after being shuffled between families and enduring mistreatment. His initial family in Austin left him outside constantly because he didn’t get along with their other pets, thankfully securing him to a tree.
He needed proper nourishment and a secure place to rest, but he was neglected and ignored. The love that Lucky deserved was never bestowed upon him.
Before their move, the family chose to abandon Lucky, showing no intention of taking him with them. Clearly, Lucky was not considered part of the family.
Upon being adopted again, Lucky’s new family quickly abandoned him. Sadly, Lucky, the unfortunate puppy, was far from lucky.
Then, a turning point on social media changed everything! A shelter employee transported Lucky to the groomer. Jamie Hult, the right person, saw photos of a groomed Lucky posted by a volunteer online. She was excited to meet Lucky and even considered adopting him immediately!
Coincidentally, it was someone from my circle of dog rescuers, so I promptly called him to inquire about the puppy. Jamie, as reported by iHeartdogs, expressed, “I’m not interested in fostering; I want to adopt that dog.”
Regrettably, Lucky was in dire health, requiring costly veterinary treatment for heartworms, fleas, and being underweight. Despite this, Jamie showed unwavering dedication, ready to open both her heart and her wallet to him.
Lucky received top-notch medical care and successfully recovered, although he had a long journey ahead!
With his new life came a new home, lifestyle, and sense of self.
While his name, Beaux Tox, might be a playful nod to his unique features, we celebrate beauty in all its forms. While caring for him may require extra resources, what Beaux truly needs most is the love and understanding Jamie can offer. Do you have any reservations about this perfect match?
