I hope I will have a forever home on my birthday

Today was London’s birthday, but instead of feeling joyful, he felt a deep sadness. London, a gentle dog with soft brown eyes, sat quietly in his corner of the shelter, looking out through the metal bars of his kennel. It was his special day, the day he turned three years old, yet the air around him felt heavy and lonely.

There was no cake, no balloons, and most importantly, no forever home. London watched as other dogs were adopted by happy families, leaving with wagging tails and excited barks. But for London, there was no one. No one came to celebrate with him, and no one took him home.

All London wanted was a family, a place where he could belong, where love would surround him every day. He dreamed of running in the yard, chasing after sticks, and curling up on the couch with someone who cared. But today, his birthday, was just another day in the shelter—a reminder that he still hadn’t found his forever home.

As the day faded into the evening, London let out a soft sigh. His heart was heavy, but he clung to the hope that someday, someone would come for him. Someday, he wouldn’t have to spend his birthdays alone.
