Recently, a warm-hearted grandmother named Maria celebrated her 89th birthday at home in Brazil. But this was no ordinary gathering.
In fact, it turned out to be the kind of celebration many only dream about.
Maria, you see, is surrounded by many furry companions. She shares her home with her daughter, her daughter’s family, and a lively group of 10 adorable dogs. To these dogs, Maria is the very definition of kindness and love, and she ensures they all receive plenty of it.
“The house is always bustling!” said Maria’s daughter, Vitoria Abencoada, in an interview with The Dodo. “She absolutely loves living with animals and enjoys cuddling with them.”
So, naturally, when Maria’s birthday arrived, it was only fitting that her beloved dogs would host the celebration.
As the party began, the dogs sat right beside Maria at the table, joining in on the festivities. And, of course, no birthday celebration would be complete without a cheerful rendition of the birthday song.
Radiating with happiness, Grandma Maria was surrounded by love. “The dogs absolutely loved being part of Grandma’s party!” Abencoada shared. “Here, they are treated like family and are included in everything we do.”
The party included plenty of delicious food, with treats for both the people and more than a few special goodies for the pups.
Throughout her many decades, Grandma Maria has undoubtedly enjoyed countless moments of joy and celebration—perhaps too many to even remember.
Yet, thanks to her deep love for animals, and the love they return, even at 89 years old, life just continues to get sweeter.
