Six puppies were discovered running along a highway in Oklahoma after being abandoned by someone who had been giving them away at a local country store. Those who weren’t adopted were left to fend for themselves by the roadside.
At just six weeks old, the puppies were vulnerable and in grave danger. Fortunately, they were rescued before any harm came to them from predators or passing cars. When they arrived at Friends with Four Paws Rescue, the malnourished pups were covered in fleas and ticks.

The rescue shared with us, “They’re discovering more each day about what a true puppy life should be like! Thane has claimed ‘Gemini’ from Bark as his favorite play toy, and Sheppard has figured out that Optimeal mixed with Royal Canin (soaked in water) is far tastier than bugs! Wrex, on the other hand, is testing the chew resistance of ‘Trixie the Tricky Chicky’! Even their foster mom enjoyed a nice treat, wearing leggings provided by Chewy during a relaxing puppy Dawn bath!”
