Ariel, with her endearing spirit, was likely abandoned on the streets because she couldn’t be sold due to her flipper-like feet. Yet, we believe these unique features only enhance her charm. This resilient young pup, much like many remarkable dogs before her, has shown incredible strength.
When Ariel approached the volunteers at Trenton Animals Rock, they were immediately touched by her courage and determination. Initially diagnosed with focamelia—a birth defect caused by toxin exposure during critical development—Ariel’s condition seemed daunting. Despite having healthy lungs and a heart, her small size limited the diagnostic options available.
Day by day, Ariel grew and adapted, learning to navigate her world like any other dog. She formed friendships in the shelter and won the hearts of everyone who met her.
A dedicated volunteer, moved by Ariel’s story, decided to foster her. Surrounded by other dogs, Ariel quickly settled in, forming strong bonds with her new canine companions. To spread the word about Ariel’s journey, click “SHARE” and share her story with your loved ones.
