Deciding who is cuter between 93-year-old Sally and 1-year-old Brody is quite a challenge. Nevertheless, their beauty shines when they are together.

Sally, who lost her husband in 1990, has lived next door to Dave Mazarella in Mount Vernon, Washington, for the past 15 years. Although she has known all of Dave’s dogs, none have connected with her as deeply as Brody, his one-year-old Saint Bernard.

Brody, who has a popular Instagram account, visited Sally before noon, and she eagerly shared the news with TODAY. “He was here this morning with Dave. What a sweetheart! I even suggested he have some bread for breakfast,” Sally said.

Brody visits Sally several times a day, and it’s clear they enhance each other’s lives. “Brody would wander over to her house,” Dave Mazarella said. “Then she started giving him snacks.”

The bond between them grew, and now they share many moments together, from walking to church and watching the news to picking up the newspaper.

Sally noted, “He’s always so happy to see me. Dave says it’s my voice that makes Brody love me so much.”

Having moved to Washington in 1952, Sally grew up on her family’s farm in Holland, where she developed a deep affection for animals.

Out of her four children, only one lives nearby, but she stays in regular contact with all of them. They, like everyone else, cherish seeing Brody and Sally together.

Sally attributes her long and fulfilling life to her positive attitude. “My dad always said I was a joy from the day I was born,” she reflected. “I’ve faced a few challenges, but I bounce back quickly.” The companionship between Sally and Brody undoubtedly brings joy to everyone who witnesses it.
