Adriano Bertoline, facing financial constraints, initiated an online crowdfunding campaign to cover the veterinary expenses for dog treatment.
Local politician Dr. Jose Roberto Apolari intervened by transporting Thor to the hospital and providing financial support. According to reports, three-year-old Thor faced a second confrontation with a porcupine within a year, resulting in severe injuries.
Upon hearing the dog owner’s plea, councilor Dr. Jose Roberto Apolari decided to lend a hand. Adriano expressed his gratitude on Facebook, describing Dr. Apolari as a savior for Thor when private veterinary care was beyond his means. Adriano, currently unemployed with four children at home, shared that after Dr. Apolari facilitated Thor’s veterinary visit and covered the expenses, the councilman took the dog under his care at his own home.
The dog engaged with the porcupine, but its condition immediately afterward was uncertain.
