A month ago, volunteers received a distress call about a dog abandoned by the roadside. This poor creature was in rough shape, with a large tumor on its chest and constant drooling. Despite its dire situation, the dog approached them with a surprising charm.
The volunteers acted quickly, rescuing the dog and rushing it to the hospital for emergency care. The dog’s past was likely harsh, but it had managed to endure. Now named Xiao Fu, the brave dog wagged its tail despite its suffering. Medical tests revealed severe deterioration of the tumor and suggested that treatment might not be feasible.
Refusing to give up, the volunteers sought multiple opinions and eventually found a hospital willing to try treatment. Xiao Fu’s determination to live shone through its eyes, and its condition began to improve day by day.
The journey was fraught with challenges. Xiao Fu underwent a blood transfusion and numerous tests. Although there were moments of doubt and discouragement, the volunteers’ commitment never wavered. They believed in Xiao Fu’s fighting spirit.
However, a CT scan revealed devastating news: the tumor had spread to Xiao Fu’s brain, affecting crucial nerves and bones. Despite the bleak prognosis, the volunteers pressed on, discovering that Xiao Fu had vascular fibroma, a cancer that could be managed with medication.
Two months into treatment, Xiao Fu had gained weight and was receiving the care it needed. Though the future remained uncertain, the love and support Xiao Fu received allowed it to enjoy each day surrounded by warmth and dedication.
