In 2018, Indiana police found Justice roaming the streets. At about two years old, he was covered in severe chemical burns that appeared to be deliberately inflicted. Remarkably, he had managed to survive on his own for a short time.

Given his difficult history, Justice proved to be a challenging student, often showing resistance and reluctance when given commands. Nevertheless, Lexi, an exceptional dog trainer, devoted over a year to working with him and has stated that Justice only requires one more session.
While it might seem like a small gesture, rolling over signifies vulnerability in many dogs. He has become far more affectionate than before and even solicits belly rubs from his loving family.
The reward for information leading to the conviction of the person responsible for Justice’s abuse initially began at $5,000 but has now risen to $20,000. The shelter has been tirelessly investigating to determine who is accountable for Justice’s suffering.
Although there is insufficient evidence to charge anyone with this grave crime, numerous anonymous tips have advanced the investigation. The shelter has identified an individual who previously owned Justice, known as “Roscoe” at that time. This person claimed to have surrendered Justice before the incident occurred, but the veracity of their statement remains uncertain.
