When I saw her, I could only walk up to her silently, pick her up, and carry her to the car with tears streaming down my face

This girl may have had ehrlichia, as she was paralyzed and unable to move her hind legs. Eva repeatedly asked for help, but nobody was willing to assist. Despite her condition, Eva was feeling good and eating well. We had an appointment with a specialist that day to check on her condition. After a thorough blood test, it was determined that she was free of ehrlichia and heartworm. It was puzzling how she couldn’t move her legs if she was merely anemic. Unfortunately, the doctor had some bad news. The previous day, we had taken Eva for X-rays, and the technician discovered two damaged vertebrae causing significant pain and paralysis in both legs.

The vet mentioned that an orthopedic surgeon would decide whether surgery was an effective option for Eva, as the injury was likely caused by a collision with a person or vehicle. Every day, Eva was given a large amount of pain medication to improve her mood. Despite the challenges, Eva was recovering successfully and doing well.

Three weeks ago, Eva was barely alive and couldn’t even move. Her back legs were strengthening to the point where she could stand with assistance. Eva knew she had a long road to recovery ahead of her, so she always gave it her all. She received daily massages, three days of electric stimulation, and daily water therapy.

In a very short amount of time, Eva made remarkable progress with her therapy and rehabilitation. Her back legs grew stronger and more flexible. She was able to straighten and hold her front legs in an upright position, which were no longer rigid. “Eva never gave up and showed what a tremendous warrior she was. We learned a lot from her,” said the group.

Eva underwent plasma treatment the previous day and received weekly injections, both of which seemed beneficial. That day, she stood up for longer periods, took a few steps, and felt better overall. Recently, I considered getting Eva a wheelchair, but decided against it as she was improving her walking every day, which made me extremely pleased.

Eva hurried and leaped, savoring those peaceful moments, as she had never seen the water before. Seeing Eva smile made me joyful. She had finally found the household and family she deserved. She obtained Canadian citizenship, received respect, and enjoyed unrestricted freedom. Please spread the word to your relatives and friends about Eva’s inspiring journey
