The owner passed away over a month ago, and her son also abandoned her. We believe she was pregnant at the time because there are many babies, assuming they survive a month. She gave birth and went without food for a month.
We are baffled by how she and those two inconsequential soldiers survived. Worms consumed her body while she was trapped against her mother’s breast, lacking milk and suffering from severe anemia. Despite her illness severely limiting her mobility, she rejoiced upon gaining freedom.
We searched for her last night. The overwhelming odor and her deteriorating condition were heartbreaking.
We provided initial medical care, treated with medication and saline, sanitized the area, and removed any potential worms. Additionally, she granted permission for him to use the mattress. She refused all food and drink. Uncertainty lingered over whether the larger insect had entered her throat or punctured her jaw, hindering her ability to consume.
In addition to a scabbed hip, she suffers from small bugs on her gums, pearlescent teeth, hand, and hip. Her condition is critical. Thankfully, the uninfested puppies have begun eating. We treated them for worms and fleas.
In the face of unthinkable hardship, this tale of survival and compassion highlights the enduring strength of both the animal and her rescuers.
Even small acts of kindness can bring light and hope to those in dire need.
Let’s spread this message of compassion. Every living thing deserves a chance at a brighter future.
