It would be wonderful if everyone could see beyond superficial differences and appreciate the unique qualities and intrinsic worth of each person. However, those who are perceived as unusual or different because they deviate from customary patterns and societal norms often face the most unjust forms of rejection.
Bethany is an eight-month-old Labrador retriever who has faced significant challenges from the moment she was born. She was born with congenital issues that severely affected a major portion of her small face, leaving her with noticeable deformities. Despite her sweet nature and loving disposition, people often overlook Bethany because of her appearance, fleeing at the sight of her without giving her a chance to show her true, beautiful self. This immediate rejection prevents her from experiencing the love and care that every dog deserves, making her search for a forever home an even greater struggle.
Since her arrival in this world after being rescued from the streets of Ukraine, life has been anything but easy for her. From the very beginning, she has faced numerous challenges and hardships, struggling to find stability and comfort. Now, more than anything else, she desperately needs a loving home where she can feel safe and cherished. A compassionate environment would provide her with the care and affection she has long been deprived of, giving her the opportunity to finally experience the warmth and security she so greatly deserves.
She has grown accustomed to people avoiding her upon first sight, assuming she has a contagious condition.

Due to her outward appearance, Bethany has spent a significant amount of time residing at the Safe Rescue for Dogs shelter in England, facing challenges in finding a loving home that accepts her.

According to a representative from the shelter, “Despite her physical appearance, she is an amazing dog: healthy, sociable, cheerful, obedient, and adores children.”

One of the volunteers responsible for Bethany’s care expressed, “There’s absolutely nothing wrong with Bethany; she doesn’t even snore when she sleeps.”
Despite some people questioning the staff’s assessment of the dog due to their firsthand experiences, those who assure you that adopting Bethany poses no risks are speaking the truth.
“People often wonder if we’re certain we’re making the right decision and how we can be sure,” the volunteer continued. “We’ve taken her to the vet numerous times, so we know she’s in good health.”
“If she were truly so ill, they would have euthanized her, as that’s their protocol,” remarked a member of the shelter staff. “Despite everything, she’s the most stunning dog I’ve ever encountered, so she’s truly remarkable.”
